V20仮想通貨サミットが閉幕
G20首脳会談と並行し、2日間の日程で開催されたV20仮想通貨（暗号資産）サミットが6月29日に閉幕。仮想通貨業界のルールで国際的な統一を図るため、新たな組織を設立するという覚書を締結した。

V20、新組織設立の覚書に署名し閉幕

G20首脳会談と並行し、2日間の日程で大阪で開催されたV20仮想通貨（暗号資産）サミットが、6月29日に閉幕した。

本サミットでは、仮想通貨業界のルールに国際的な統一を図るため、新たな組織を設立するという覚書を締結。この覚書には金融活動作業部会(FATF)元理事長であるRoger Wilkins氏立ち会いのもと、オーストラリアデジタル商取引協会(ADCA)、シンガポールの仮想通貨・ブロックチェーン産業協会(ACCESS)、日本ブロックチェーン協会(JBA)、韓国ブロックチェーン協会(KBCA)、香港ブロックチェーン協会(HKBA)、台湾のブロックチェーン自主規制団体議員連合が署名している。

本サミットで締結された覚書には以下の公約が含まれる。

  • 仮想通貨サービスプロバイダ(VASP)発展のため、政府や規制機関と連携するよう協力体制を整える
  • 幅広い情報交換で業界をサポートできるよう最善を尽くす
  • 方針やルールを作り、推進する
  • 仮想通貨業界やその経済的価値に対する意識を高める
  • 世界的な基準となるコンプライアンスを促進する

本サミット終了後、ADCAの創設者で本サミットの主催者でもあるRonald M.Tucker氏は覚書締結に関して、「仮想通貨業界発展のための重要な瞬間に立ち会えた」と一定の満足感を示した。政府当局やFATFのガイドラインに準じ、仮想通貨の価値を世界に広めるために新たな組織を設立することに意欲も見せている。

また本サミットの共同主催者でACCESSのトップでもあるAnson Zeall氏も、FATFの新しいガイダンスと本サミットで締結された覚書で我々は1つになり、業界全体がさらに発展していくだろうと述べたように、V20で各国がより一致団結して仮想通貨の未来に取り組む姿勢が徐々に確立されはじめているといえるだろう。

本サミットでは大きな規制案の進展はなかったものの、VASPの今後の対応に重要な進展が見られた。また、先日FATFがVASPに対する規制基準を設けたことやフェイスブックが仮想通貨リブラを発表したこともあり、より発展的な議論が交わされ、各国が団結力の高まりを見せた格好だ。
